COVID - 19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS FAQ
- CAN I STILL VISIT ONE OF THE SPACES: Yes! Our spaces are open, but all guests and staff must follow the new protocols to ensure safe visits for everyone. Read on to learn more.
- HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN VISIT AT A TIME: Each space has different restrictions. Maximum capacities are TechHub - 12, Innovation Studio - 25 and VR Lab - 8
- HOW LONG WILL MY VISIT BE: Visits during Open Hours for as long as you like! Visits made by appointment are typically scheduled in 1 hour increments depending on the group or nature of your visit. If you need more time just let us know!
- HOW DO I SCHEDULE A VISIT: Please email Jamie Nelson at jamien@illinois.edu to schedule a visit.
- WHEN CAN I SCHEDULE MY VISIT: CITL Innovation Spaces is accepting appointments for visits on or after August 23, 2021. Typically, appointments are available Monday to Friday with the first visit starting at 10am and last starting at 3pm.
- CAN I DROP-IN FOR A VISIT: Yes, walk-ins are welcome during Open Hours; held weekly on Tuesdays from 10am to 4pm.
- HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY VISIT: Please bring a face mask to wear during your visit. Make sure you have a recent negative COVID test or that you are fully vaccinated, and use the hand sanitizer upon entering. If you have any specific needs, questions or interest please let us know so we can help make the most of your time in our spaces!
- WHAT IF I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY: All guests need to be tested or fully vaccinated prior to visiting campus. Please refer to the SHIELD website for updates.
- WHAT ARE CITL STAFF DOING TO KEEP ME SAFE: All CITL staff are required to wear face masks, have been fully vaccinated and routinely wash or sanitize hands. Prior to and after each visit or use, the spaces and technologies will be cleaned and sanitized.

Please email Jamie Nelson at jamien@illinois.edu to schedule your visit! We will then contact you to finalize your request. Please note there are restrictions to the number of visitors depending on the requested space.
Please request your appointment at least two weeks prior to your preferred visit date.
