Open Events

When you sign up for Admitted IlliniFest, you'll register for all the events you're planning to attend the day of the big event and will receive an agenda of those events via email. Note that the following events don't require registration, so if you have some free time in your schedule, we encourage you to check them out, too!

Stop by the Illini Union for a tour of the university's student center. There will be live student performances in the Courtycard Cafe, food specials, and information tables from various Student Affairs units!
9:00a–3:00p Office of Student Financial Aid
Do you have questions about the financial aid process or timeline? Do you need to complete additional requirements but aren't sure what to do? Stop by our Office of Student Financial Aid with a valid photo ID, and we can review your financial aid status with you. Parents (with ID) who are on the FAFSA welcome.
9:00a–3:00p Illini Union
Stop by our resource table to learn about Technology Services and the many resources it offers students!
9:00a–4:00p Armory Building (Gregory & Fourth Street doors)
Did you know that you can pursue a high-speed and rewarding career as an officer in the Air Force or Space Force while completing your college degree? Come to the Armory building to learn more about joining AFROTC, what opportunities exist after graduation, and how the Air Force can help you pay for college.

Visit the newly renovated Illinois Street Residences to see an example of a traditional, air-conditioned residence hall with individual-use bathrooms. Tours will run every 15 minutes.

Visit Nugent Hall to see an example of an air-conditioned residence hall with community and individual-use bathrooms that was recently built. Tours will run every 15 minutes.

Visit Illini Tower to see an example of a private certified housing facility in Champaign that is suite-style with in-room kitchens and living rooms along with in-suite bathrooms and onsite dining. Tours will run every 15 minutes.

Learn about DRES services, tour our building, and talk with staff!
9:30a–2:30p University Library
Join us for a 45-minute student-focused tour and discover the University Library's many collections, services, and study spaces on the two main floors. Tours are offered every hour from 9:30a to 1:30p. Snacks are provided at the end of the tour!

Visit Newman Hall to see an example of a private certified housing facility that is religiously affiliated with suite-style and traditional style floor plans and onsite dining. Tours will run every 15 minutes.
10:00a–2:00p Off the Main Quad, between the Literatures, Cultures, & Linguistics Building and Smith Memorial Hall
Join us in learning about ways to be a successful Illini and get some free swag as well! Come and explore many offices on campus, including our cultural centers that provide support for students to reach their personal, academic, and professional goals. Visit us at the Siebel Center for Design for a casual walkthrough of our makerspaces, programs, and resources available to all students. Discover how you can engage with human-centered design and be sure to stop by our shop to create your own personalized buttons!

Come and visit the Illinois Global Institute to learn about what global and area studies can do for you! We have many exciting opportunities to share with students, including information about opportunities for experiencial learning, study abroad, cultural activities, and scholarships.

Join military-connected students at the Chez Veterans Center to learn about the benefits and services available for military-connected students, veterans, National Guard, Reserve, and dependents of military members.
10:00a–2:30p Funk ACES Library, 2nd Floor
Join us for a 30-minute student-focused tour and discover Funk ACES Library's many resources, services, and study spaces! Tours are offered at 10:00a, 12:00p, and 2:00p.

This event is for Neurodivergent students who are interested in programming to support executive function, mental health, social connectedness, and employment. Come hear about INI from leadership and students participants! You'll attend a short informational meeting, tour DKCH, and take part in a Q&A.

12:00p–2:30p Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Explore historical and cultural sites around campus during the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scavenger Hunt. Participate by visiting and taking pictures at places that represent and celebrate the diversity of Illinois. When completed, visit our office for a University of Illinois souvenir!
12:30p–2:30p Memorial Stadium, Student Section North Endzone
Admitted students and families are invited to enjoy the company of fellow students and begin showing school spirit in the student section of Memorial Stadium! Enjoy food and beverage and tailgate games. Registration is requested for food and beverage numbers.

Get a preview of the 2024 Fighting Illini football team at the annual Orange and Blue Spring Game at Memorial Stadium. Admissions is FREE!
3:00p–4:00p Memorial Stadium
Admitted students and families who attend the spring football game have the chance to get postgame on-field access for a special photo opporunity!
