Writers Workshop: Finals Week Hours

Preparing to submit your final papers? The Writers Workshop will have modified hours beginning on Saturday, May 4th and will close for the semester at 5pm on Wednesday, May 8th. Spring 2024 Master's Thesis Deposit Deadline

Friday, May 3 at 5 p.m. is the last day to complete a master's thesis deposit for May 2024 graduation. Because all corrections and all required deposit materials must be received by the Graduate College no later than 5 p.m. on the day of the deposit deadline, the Thesis Office strongly encourages students to submit the thesis for review several days before the deadline. Taxability of Graduate Level Waivers

Your graduate level tuition & service fee waivers may be taxable. Graduate level tuition & service fee waivers that are a benefit of employment are considered taxable income by the IRS. As a result, GA’s, PGA’s, & regular employees may see a reduction in take-home pay for the months of March, April & possibly May this semester. Deepfakes: How Computers Mimic Us

You've heard about fake telephone calls and AI-generated propaganda videos. But how are deepfakes created? How can you identify deepfakes? What can you do to protect your image, your voice, and your work? We will provide an overview of how artificial intelligent tools interpret pictures/sound to generate new images, video, and voices. We'll discuss the techniques being used for research, in the film industry, and across campus to support new scholarship and creative works.
