Kids In The Garden

Do your kids want to learn about gardening?  Come join our Kids in the Garden workshop at the Lawrence Public Library on May 11.  Children will learn how plants grow from seeds including identifying the parts of a seed, parts of a young plant, and dissecting a bean seed. Participants will also learn about different ways to grow their own seeds at home. All youth who attend will get to make a seed starting kit, seed tape, and flower seed bombs.
The workshop will be held at the Lawrence Public Library (814 12th Street, Lawrenceville, IL) on Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon).  The target age group is youth 6 to 10 years old, but younger or older children may attend.
