A 4-H Special Interest (SPIN) Club

Does your child love being outside? Are they passionate about the environment? Then check out The Eco-Investigators 4-H SPIN Club! This club is designed for youth who are curious about nature and the environment, and want to explore it through fun, hands-on ways and by using all their senses.

Each meeting we feature different, exciting topics related to the ecosystem. Members will make observations and do immersive, nature-themed projects, several of which they can take home. Planned activities include scavenger hunts, food tasting, plant identification, plant dissection, and creating custom tea blends. 

WHO: Ages 8-12 (as of 9/1/21)
WHAT: Explore nature and learn about the environment in fun, hands-on ways
WHEN: 10-11:30 a.m. Saturdays | Dates include: 5/21, 6/11, 6/25, 7/9, 7/23, 8/20, 9/24, and 10/22
WHERE: Bolingbrook (This club will be hosted at a private residence; for privacy, the address will be provided with registration confirmation)
COST: $20*

*The Eco-Investigators 4-H SPIN Club is supported by the Illinois 4-H scholarship program, which covers the Illinois 4-H enrollment cost for this club’s members. That makes the overall cost for this 8-week program only $20 to cover supplies and materials. Plus, these 4-H SPIN Club participants will be fully enrolled 4-H members for the 2021-22 4-H year, and will not need to pay enrollment should they choose to join another club in the same 4-H year.
