What are the differences between where your content currently resides and where you will be moving it to?
- Personal account vs. Organizational account.
- Same platform vs. Different platform (Box, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive).

ACCESS

Who needs access to the content?
- Current collaborators vs. Future collaborators.
- Collaborators in one or more different organizations.
- Anyone linking to those files (e.g., images, videos) may experience a broken link.

OWNERSHIP
|
Do you need to transfer ownership of some (or all) content?
- For individual to individual transfer, determine how your platform handles ownership transfers between accounts (if at all).
- For content owned by you but used by a group, determine how to transfer your ownership without removing a groups access.

FILE FORMAT

Will your file formats transfer well?
- When formats are tied to a platform (e.g., BoxNotes and Google Docs) some may require manual exporting while others can be automated. Some files may lose formatting and features on different platforms.
- You might be dependent on access to other software (such as those in Adobe Cloud) that you may not have access after to the transfer.
