Ingredients
2 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
3/4 cup water
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium apple, finely chopped
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce*
2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Wash hands with soap and water.
Gently rub produce under cool running water.
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Cook gently for 30 minutes.
Uncover pot. Continue cooking for 10 minutes.
Note

*To make vegetarian, do not add Worcestershire sauce. You can substitute soy sauce instead.
