Dog Obedience Training Begins in Peoria County

In this fun and exciting Special Interest 4-H Club youth will gain knowledge on the fundamentals of showing their dog through hands-on experience. 4-H volunteers will teach youth in such a way they will become skilled at recognizing the important relationship between you the handler and your dog. This club is open to all youth age 8-18 (based on 4-H age, age as of Sept 1, 2021).

When attending the first meeting please bring

  • your dog
  • proof of shots for your dog
  • a flat buckle collar
  • a water dish
  • treats for your dog and
  • a good sense of humor

This group will meet once a week starting Thursday, May 5, 6 pm at the Peoria Obedience Training Center, 4115 Main St. in Pottstown. This group will meet every Thursday evening until the Peoria County 4-H Dog Show in early August.

  • Complete these required forms and mail to U of I Extension office: Liability Form and Medical Information
